Description Nobiletin, un flavonoïde d'agrumes isolé des pelures d'agrumes comme la mandarine, qui possède des activités anti-inflammatoires et antitumorales.

In vitro Nobiletin, un flavonoïde d'agrumes isolé des pelures d'agrumes comme la mandarine, qui possède des activités anti-inflammatoires et antitumorales. Ce composé, un polyméthoxyflavonoïde, est identifié comme un inhibiteur de la génération de NO et de O 2-. Il inhibe significativement deux inflammations cutanées induites par une double application de TPA. Il supprime également l'expression des protéines cyclooxygénase-2 et NO synthase inductible et la libération de prostaglandine E2. Cette substance chimique inhibe l'activité d'invasion tumorale des cellules de fibrosarcome humain HT-1080 dans le modèle Matrigel, non seulement en supprimant l'expression des MMPs, mais aussi en augmentant la production de TIMP-1 en interférant avec la voie de la phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3-K). Il peut également prévenir l'athérosclérose au niveau de la paroi vasculaire en inhibant la formation de cellules spumeuses de macrophage.
