Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving Senkyunolide I (SEI, SENI) is een oraal actieve verbinding geïsoleerd uit Ligusticum chuanxiong met pijnstillende, anti-migraine, neuroprotectieve, anti-oxidatie en anti-apoptose activiteiten. Deze verbinding reguleert de fosforylering van Erk1/2 opwaarts en induceert Nrf2 nucleaire translocatie met verbeterde HO-1 en NQO1 expressies. Het bevordert ook de verhouding van Bcl-2/Bax en remt de expressies van gekliefde caspase 3 en caspase 9.
