Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving	Homoharringtonine (HHT), een plantalkaloïde met antitumorale eigenschappen, remt eiwitvertaling door de initiële elongatiestap van eiwitsynthese te voorkomen via een interactie met de ribosomale A-site. Deze verbinding remt omkeerbaar IL-6-geïnduceerde STAT3 Tyrosine 705-fosforylering en verminderde de expressie van anti-apoptotische eiwitten.
In vitro	Homoharringtonine (HHT), een plantalkaloïde met antitumorale eigenschappen, induceert p62-gemedieerde autofagie in resistente CML K562G-cellen, waardoor autofagische afbraak van het BCR-ABL-eiwit wordt bevorderd.
In Vivo	In combinatie met ABT-199 verlengt Homoharringtonine (HHT) de algehele overleving van muizen met primair diffuus grootcellig B-cellymfoom (DLBCL)-xenograft significant vergeleken met benaderingen met één middel.
