Beschrijving STING-remmer C-176 is een krachtige, kleinmoleculaire remmer van STING, een centrale signaalcomponent van het intracellulaire DNA-waarnemingspad.

In vitro

C-176 vermindert sterk de STING-gemedieerde, maar niet RIG-I- of TBK1-gemedieerde, IFNβ-reporteractiviteit. Het richt zich direct op muis STING (mmSTING) maar niet op menselijk STING (hsSTING).
In Vivo

C-176 vermindert STING-geassocieerde autoinflammatoire ziekte bij muizen.
