Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving Evodiamine (Isoevodiamine), een alkaloïde extract uit de vrucht van Evodiae Fructus, vertoont antitumorale activiteiten tegen menselijke tumorcellen. Het is aangetoond dat het de NF-κB activering remt door onderdrukking van de IkB kinase activiteit.

In vitro Evodiamine (Isoevodiamine), een alkaloïde extract uit Evodiae Fructus, vertoont antitumorale activiteiten tegen menselijke tumorcellen. Deze verbinding induceert een aanzienlijke hoeveelheid apoptose in zowel Bcl-2- als Akt-overexpresserende U937-cellen, maar niet in humane perifere bloedmononucleaire cellen via caspase-onafhankelijke apoptotische routes. Het remt ook tumornecrosefactor (TNF)-geïnduceerde NF-kappaB- en Akt-activering, maar het heeft geen effect op JNK- of p38 MAPK-activering. Bovendien is deze chemische stof een humane topoisomerase I-remmer.
